Neal’s numbers were on the upward swing so he lobbied yesterday to come home and doctors agreed! A group of my friends were at our house helping to clean to get ready for Neal to come home today when Neal called. So the timing was great! I left after lunch and we were home by 3. Friends are such a blessing.
Whitney and Ty came Thursday night because Whit had oral surgery yesterday. (Thank you Ryan). Britton, Michelle and Eli are coming today to hang out so it is great that Neal is home to visit. He is feeling quite well and is very talkative!
Neal’s brother, Karl, had a doctor’s appointment at Northwestern University on Thursday. His tumor on the brain is growing back which was probably the cause of his fall. He had surgery fall of 2010 to have his first one removed which was benign. We are praying that is the case this time. He is scheduled for surgery at NW on March 9.
It has been an eventful 9 days. Of course it is natural to ask “Why God” or “Are you kidding me?” But we have chosen to trust that God is in control and He uses all things for his purposes and plan. He is the one that provides peace, strength and comfort which many times we only experience at a deeper level when we go through difficult times. God has been faithful in the past and will continue to do so today and in the future. Thank you God for making me need You.
