A peaceful week!

Neal’s certificate of completing radiation!

This was the first week in a VERY long time that we did not have any doctor’s appointments. We appreciated the rest. We have enjoyed the beautiful summer-like weather here in Michigan. Yesterday Neal and I went for a walk in the morning. It was foggy and misting a very light rain. On the way back in to our subdivision we noticed at least a dozen spider webs hanging in the trees. We would have missed seeing them if it had not been misting rain. That’s how Neal and I feel about our journeys these past few years. In the midst of the storms we have seen and experienced a different side of God and have grown in our relationship with him. We would have missed those blessings had it nor been for our experiences. Our lives are so intricate but God is directing our journey for his purposes. The weather was not bright and sunny and considered less than ideal but in the midst were these beautiful webs.
You may be traveling through the midst – look for God’s hand in every kind of weather.

On the journey,
Trish

How beautiful! The picture of the spider web made apparent by the rain; and, your words and Neal’s from his previous post. Thank you for your continuing testimony of God’s presence and power in your lives.
In this morning’s devotional, Keith and I read a verse from Paul regarding his ‘thorn in the flesh’ that reminded us of your words. 2 Corinthians 12:9, But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
We pray for each of you daily; thank God for what has been accomplished; and place our hope in Him for what new steps are ahead.
    Much love to you,
    Aunt Gene and Uncle Keith

  2. Trish and Neal,
I appreciated your note in the last Bridgman Family Dental Newsletter. Your comments and perspective on your journey remind me how important our faith is as we go through our time here. Gail and I think of you two and your family often and you remain in our prayers.
    Take care,
    Mike Shirley

  3. Well said Trish, we pray continually for you both and trust in God’s everlasting love on our journey’s.
