I had a nice birthday on Wednesday. After Collin went to school that day I went up to my bathroom to take a shower and there on the mirror written with lipstick was a message from Collin, “Love you, #1 Mom!” As we say, he did a Neal writing a love note on my mirror with lipstick. There was also a very sweet card and bag of dark chocolate truffles! I had lunch with my sister-in-law and dinner with a couple friends that night. The celebration continued last night with a group of friends at another restaurant. I was well taken care of! 🙂
The most special gift on Wednesday was a bouquet of flowers from Neal. I have been seeing the gal from our local flower shop in town every Wednesday. Apparently Neal had made arrangements with her to deliver flowers every Wednesday for a year. It started before Neal passed. We are on week 5. That’s Neal for you, always thinking of others.
The kids are all coming home tonight for the weekend. We plan to celebrate this month’s birthdays: Collin on the 12th, Ty on the 16th, mine on the 19th and Eli’s on the 22nd.
We have the bereavement counselor from Hospice coming tomorrow afternoon to talk with us.
