Thank you to everyone for their prayers as I journeyed through my first chemo this past week. By Saturday I was feeling much better. Neal and I enjoyed an early morning walk to the beach and back. I can’t believe how winded I get. I took Karsten to get a hair cut and then to Kohl’s to get a suit for his senior pictures. I can’t believe he is going to be a senior and Collin is going to be a freshman this fall!

Today I ate a whole bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and managed to eat a veggie sandwich for lunch. My appetite is slowly coming back. 🙂

This week I may start to loose my hair. They say 1-2 weeks after your first chemo. My head has started to feel like a have a mild sunburn. Neal is hanging a hook for me today in our closet so I can hang up all my hats and scarves to get ready!

Enjoy the Lord’s Day!
Trish

  1. Hi Trish – I’m so glad to read you are having a better day. You have been in my thoughts and prayers a lot these last few weeks. I am seeing my Dr. and getting a cyst taken care of tomorrow and asking them about the breast MRI. I pray you will continue to have a mild reaction to the chemo. God bless.

  2. Hi Trish! 😉 I’m so glad to hear you doing well. You’ve been on my heart often this month and on the prayer chain at Facebook (over a million members). I pray you will continue to have a mild reaction to the chemo but if not that God will go with you THROUGH this (not if …). He is an awesome God. When I have times of pain and can’t sleep verses come to mind that I’ve memorized but so too do songs and I’ve memorized literally hundreds of hymns (being a pk does that to you). Some of the hymns are just verses set to music. Maybe you could play some of those for yourself when you have the down times. Or someone could play them for you. I love you both and my unfailing love and prayers are with you and your family as you go through the chemo and onward.
    With you in God’s hands,
    Eloise Potratz
