Why aren’t you asleep? asked the nurse in the aphoresis / blood lab.  We gave you lots of drugs to help you sleep during the infusion of blood cells.
First some great news is that some enzymes they use to test for residual levels is down again!  I have been prayed over for healing a week ago at a healing conference with Britton.  Healing from God can come gradually or immediate as we see examples in the Bible.  The numbers are still just a bit higher than desired but trending down.
I told Dr. Kline today that I am looking to have the numbers normal so he could declare me not in remission but healed.  This is the same claim brought to me by a woman who prayed for me last weekend.  Her story to me was that her 13 year old son had aggressive Burkitt’s lymphoma.  Now at age 15 they are finding no signs of it.  With lymphoma, the doctors just consider “in remission” with a possibility of return.  The doctor told the mom if nothing was found, he would declare him healed – by God.
I received a blood booster – called a DLI – donor lymphocyte infusion – to put in more lymphocytes that attack broken or cancer cells.  No issues so far and we will watch for a few weeks to make sure it doesn’t attack the liver or kidneys which is most common.   Host versus Graft disease is where new lymphocytes attack foreign cancer cells but healthy original cells can be viewed as foreign and be attacked.  Please keep praying for a little Graft vs. Host but not a lot.
The process went smoothly and all were pleased.  After we were ready to leave, then I was ready to nap.  OK, I am a bit weird.
We had a great birthday celebration dinner for my niece McKenna who is now 13.  Celebrate every day!

The healing conference gave me great affirmation in several areas.  One is I was selected to be prayed for when no one knew my story.  The grandmother of the Burkitt’s grandson was there to encourage me on God’s healing.  Many told stories of healing.  A great question was asked “If God can heal miraculously in Africa, why not in Holland, MI? ”  Why do we limit God?

I was also introduced to Mary Ghees book on listening to God with a pen and paper and wait for him to speak to us first thing in the morning.  After one week of doing it, and writing down what God speaks to me, it has really opened my eyes.  Very interesting things that He wants me to know and follow.  Try it.  Sit in silence with your paper and pen.  Write down what He impresses on your heart after you clear your minds list of to dos.

My challenge is to say what God is teaching me and leading to do.  The more I share, the more God is “exposed”.  My frail thoughts are will I let God down or worse will I put God in a bad position by my weakness.  I know that God will hold His own easily.  Each day is a day to thank God!  and trust Him!

  1. Glad that you have chosen to post about the donor infusion. Also glad for your explanation as this goes way beyond my understanding. So glad that numbers are trending downward. Up of some and down of others….but all toward normal is so good to read.

Reminded anew to cherish EACH day. Each is a gift of God! Continue on…..
With our prayers and love, Don and Linda
