Today we visited our former church where my parents attend to join them for Father’s Day. What was the text but Daniel 3 – again. We figure there must be a great reason God keeps putting this story about the fiery furnace in front of us again. Different sermon name but the message God is sending us is the same.
One thought I brought away again is that the three men who defied the world’s strongest ruler and were willing to only follow God didn’t just suddenly decide it was a good idea. They had been chosen by the same King for their character that had been developing over the years.
Some ask us how we can have peace about our situation, or are surprised at our transparency about this journey. One point I see is that we have been working at this through our lifetime, seeing God be faithful so many times, so that when this arises we are positioned to know which way we will decide. Follow and trust God when the time of decision arises or to bail out? We realize that trusting God daily builds a foundation that helps us take on heavier loads because the foundation is stronger.
Tomorrow is port day – where the medication will be injected every two weeks. We are thankful for so many friends who are walking (and driving) alongside of us. Thank you also for your posted comments as they are encouraging not only to us but to all the others who read our posts.
God is good, all the time,
Neal

Lamentations 3:22-24 (NAS)
The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease
For His compassions never fail
They are new every morning
Great is Thy Faithfulness
The Lord is my portion, says my soul
Therefore I have hope in Him.
Thank you for your witness.Blessings, LindaG
Lauren and I are praying everyday.
We love you Trish!

Everyday many prayers go up from the Sorensen house for both of you.
Tyler and Mollie told me just last week that they pray for you many times during the days. How comforting to know that our Father in Heaven hears each and every petition. We’re especially praying this week as the cancer stopping, life giving chemo therapy begins. Praise God for the ways He has provided for you both.
