Day T-6 Fever

This morning when I arrived I was met by the nurse telling me Neal has a 102.9 fever. This is common and could just be his body’s way of reacting to a low immune system or he could have some sort of infection. They have started him on a broad spectrum antibiotic until they determine what is causing the fever. He has been coughing the past couple of days (which is also common) so they have ordered a chest x-ray as well as blood and urine tests. His hemoglobin and platelets are also low which means he needs a blood transfusion and platelets. They are holding on this until his test results come back.

Please pray they can determine the source of the fever and get it under control.

On the journey,
Trish
