A great man of God, father, grandfather, dentist and role model went to be with Jesus (and Neal) this morning. While a few of us were sleeping at his house, Dale peacefully took his last breath and went to heaven. Visitation will be Thursday at Pike Funeral Home 2-4 and 6-8 PM with the funeral service Friday at 11AM at Woodland Shores Baptist Church. Information may be found at www.pikefh.com.
Dale and Bobbie have been such an amazing role model for our family. All 15 grandchildren and 13 grandchildren were very attached to “Granddad.” Dale lived his favorite verse “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.”
It is very surreal to go through this again. Dale looked like Neal laying in the hospital bed; same Hospice staff; same rhythm of breathing; same gurney rolling him out. I feel like I am grieving all over again for Neal.
