Neal had to go back to the doctor on Friday to have his blood tested again since his numbers were low. He was taken off the study drug he was taking and put on a different drug. We went back to the doctor today for more blood work and to see the doctor. Although his numbers are still low (WBC 1.2, platelettes 150,000 and hemoglobin 10.4) the doctor said this is not uncommon just more of a nuisance. He gave us the okay to go home on April 7 for good!!!! We are getting tired of being here although it has been good to be close to the hospital and given Neal good time to heal. We will have to travel weekly back for doctor appointments but we shouldn’t have to worry about a snow storm!
Neal is still not out of the woods, but he has done very well so far. The doctors are pleased with his progress.
10 days!!!!
On the journey,
Trish
Great news! I think you beat me going home by a couple of days. To Him who is faithful.

Great news!
Dear Neal and Trish,
Good evening,
Trish, you do not know me or my husband, George, (except from your office records) but after reading this evening your and Neal’s blogs from 1/1 to the present, I feel like I know you well. They were like reading a good book; I couldn’t “lay it down”. The both of you have been thru a lot but have been blessed with the reality to know that this big bump in the road is much easier to handle than by someone who doesn’t trust God’s almighty power. When I found out I had colon cancer in 1999 God gave me what I needed to just dump everything into His hands and He graciously pulled me thru; I didn’t even shed a tear nor did I worry.
In the early 1960’s George was in the University of Chicago hospital suffering from a blowout of the floor under his eyeball. They did an excellent repair!
Neal, may God grant that your health continues on the fast track to an excellent recovery. “He will cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust.” Psalm 91:4
It’s a few months away, but hope to be able to bring a car to your show in July.
Blessings to both of you,
Nancy Wuszke (George, too)
