Chemo #5!

Neal just completed round 5 of chemo today. It’s a long day that starts at 9:30am and we get home around 3:30pm. I usually run errands in the afternoon while he sleeps. After he gets home he usually sleeps most of the night and tomorrow he will nap on and off much of the day. His last round of chemo is Oct 1.

Last weekend we had our 26th annual family reunion at our house for my mom’s side of the family. We had a wonderful time reconnecting and sharing how God has been working in our lives.

We did receive some sad news last Friday. Neal’s brother Karl was just diagnosed with a brain tumor. He will be having surgery next Wednesday to have it removed. During surgery they will have a pathologist on hand to determine if the tumor is cancerous. We would appreciate your prayers for the doctors as they perform this delicate surgery and for comfort and peace for Karl and his wife Jamie and their children.

On the journey,
Trish

  1. Dr Neal,

Cancer has away of changing you…simple things become very important. Stay strong and positive. Be thankful when your feet touch the floor in the morning, some people are unable to do that. Watch QVC when you can’t sleep… Cherish each moment…I celebrate 7 years in November as a cancer survivor!
