Neal and I are down at Fairfield Glade, TN for a little vacation. We had to go somewhere where we could drive since he can’t fly until next spring. The colors are beautiful here and the weather is a little warmer than home. At the moment Neal is writing a chapter of our book that many have encouraged us to write! I brought some material to read for a class I will be teaching this spring at Taylor Univeristy about children and family ministry. There are lots of places to hike around here so we will be putting on our walking shoes as well.
Collin is holding down the fort in Bridgman with Grammy and Grandad.
Neal got permission to miss his treatment this week, so he will have two more weeks in a row than start once every 4 weeks. He is still feeling fine and his numbers are good.
At the end of this week we will meet two of our staff in Savannah, Georgia for a dental seminar. I think this will be good for Neal to stimulate his mind about dentistry instead of cancer.
On the journey,
Trish
Glad you got away for awhile. Our kids gave us an anniversary get away in Gatlingburg so we will be checking out the fall colors next week. Can’t wait to read your book! Praying for your journey.
Take care,
Steve and Dawn
We live in Savannah! I’m sure you’re going to be busy, but if you’d like plans, let us know! 🙂

Well Trish & Neal….Ty has just recently informed Will and I of your condition. Sorry that our concern was not voiced sooner as we’ve just learned about your dilemma. Not sure “dilemma” is an appropriate term for the moment. Your optimism is amazing and a testimony to all. Sounds like Tennessee may be good medicine for both of you as you change up the routine and get out of town. It was great that the med staff cooperated. Interesting to hear how naive the staff is with respect to their faith at U of C. Just the opposite in the Wheaton area…..many are followers. Well, our prayers begin NOW and won’t stop til this bout is over. Would like to get together with both of you or just the girls, Trish, any Monday when you are in Chicago that is suitable to you. Please let me know what works…….Mar
