When Neal and I look back over the past several months it is very exciting to see how God has ordered our steps to prepare us for this journey of cancer.
1. I took a leave of absence as Children and Family Pastor from Storyline Church in February. I have been also working at Neal’s office since last June when an employee embezzled from us. Doing both jobs was getting to be too much.
2. I did not feel lead to do the summer boy’s and girl’s camps like I have done the past three summers.
3. Our parents and children were together for Whitney’s graduation the weekend right after I found out I had cancer. We were able to tell them all together at the end of the day about my breast cancer. After a time of crying we had a sweet time of prayer together. It was a very special time.
4. My parents came up from Florida for the graduation and had planned to stay the following week with us. They extended their stay a few days. They were very helpful getting things done in anticipation of my surgery.
5. We had already signed and purchased tickets for Collin to spend the summer at a camp.
6. I had just finished teaching my class at Taylor University 2 days before I was diagnosed.
“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21

It is so awesome to see how God worked in you without you even knowing what He was doing. Our family continues to pray for you and your family.
