The doctor just came in to see Neal and decided to keep him until tomorrow. His fever is gone but he has to be without one for 24 hours. His body is ridding the methotrexate too slowly although he is not far from the magic number to go home. Plus Neal’s white blood count is low and they want to get him started on neupogin shots. Put that all together after receiving large doses of chemo wins him another night in the hospital. Neal just says, “It is what it is.” He is feeling much better today.
I will have to go home this afternoon because I have a routine CT scan in the morning. After that I will come back to bring him home.
Just a reminder that God is in control. We can have our plans but it is God’s plans and purposes that prevail.
