I brought Neal home Tuesday afternoon although his methotrexate levels were still high. The doctors and nurses finally decided that the machine was broken because his numbers were bouncing up and down. His white count was .1 (should be at least 4.5) which means he hasn’t gone anywhere. We’ve cleaned the house and disenfected things. A good excuse to get Collin to clean his room! Neal has been feeling pretty good just tired. He’s getting his appetite back.
Neal had to go back today to have a echocardiogram, see the doctor, and get his blood checked. His white count was still .1 and his plateletes were too low. We went back over to infusion so Neal could get a bag of plateletes.
The doctor wants Neal to come back Sunday to have his blood checked again. If his numbers are too low it will postpone his next treatment which should be around Dec 18. These are all normal side effects.
Please pray that Neal’s number would be on the rise so he can receive his next treatment on schedule.
On the journey,
Trish
