Powerful Friends

The Bridgman Bees won the first soccer game of the conference tonight!  The senior players and their parents were announced during half time and walked onto the field.  Britton came from Holland to stand in Neal’s place.  It was emotional and hard to hear the perceived sighs of auwww when it was Collin’s turn.  Even though this was uncomfortable and scary God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a servant mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)  There are going to be many more fearful and hard things to tackle ahead just because Neal is not with us but God will give us the power to get through those times.

My time in Houston was fantastic!  Michelle is “a friend that loves at all times, and a sister born for a time of adversity.” (Proverbs 17:17)  Her pampering, tears and talks were very refreshing, restful and appreciated.  We had manicures and pedicures, saw a movie at a dinner theater, shopped, watched a “Girls Only” play, laughed, ate out, rested and talked.  The change of pace was good for me.  I feel refreshed to handle the week ahead of me.  God gives us what we need to handle our circumstances including good friends and times of respit.

On the journey,
Trish
