Thursday elicited a call from Dr. Kline about my status. It was good. My bone marrow has converted to 100% Karl’s, none of mine. Because my defective bone marrow was causing the lymphoma, it is gone. They delayed another DLI (where I get a booster of blood cells) to give more time for the first ones to continue working. So my postulation is: now that the diseased marrow is gone, is that why the good numbers are better and the bad numbers are down? Is healing taking place? Is that why Dr. Kline finds my progress so far “amazing” (see previous post for that discussion).
I feel quite well, able to walk 3 miles about 5 times per week and feel strong. I fit a nap in once in a great while as needed. In a couple of weeks – the day after Memorial Day – I get another PET scan to detect any activity of the lymphoma. Then we go from there depending on findings. We pray for no activity, a verification of miraculous healing, Thank you again for your prayers!
We are blessed for each day,
Neal
WOO HOO!!! How FABULOUS is THAT???
We will continue to pray for the zero numbers.
Maybe Dr. Kline should be “sharpening his pencil” !!
