Collin and I went to Indianapolis Thursday night to help in Whitney’s classroom Friday. That night we went Duck Pin Bowling which is similar to regular bowling except the pins and balls are smaller. Instead of 2 balls per frame you bowl three balls. Saturday morning I got some Christmas shopping done and some new pillows and shams for my bed and pictures for the wall to switch up the bedroom. After lunch we all headed to Muncie to celebrate Corbins’s 1st birthday. Karsten, Collin and I spent the night there and came home this afternoon and Karsten headed back to school.
This morning I was reading books to Lane. One was a ABC baby book of Lane as a baby. One of the pictures Neal and I were both holding Lane. He pointed to me in the picture and said, “There’s Grammy.” He pointed to Neal and asked, “Where’s grandad?” I said that he wasn’t here but he was in heaven. Lane excitedly said, “With Jesus!” Out of the mouths of babes to remind us of that important truth. Yes, he is Lane. We miss him and wish he was here.
