For some reason I have been finding it hard to post on the blog. I think its because I still feel numb. But I am ready to share some great things that have happend. After all the kids got home to be with Neal the nurse told us that he could hear us. So we told stories, read scripture, listened to music, laughed, cried and prayed. Nurse Amanda also told us that if we asked Neal questions he may respond with a blink. So we asked some goofy questions and then I asked Neal if he saw angels. He blinked. A little later I asked him if he saw Jesus. We all saw him blink! It was such a comfort to know he was being ushered into the presence of God. He was absent from the body but present with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5: 8). Praise God for the gift of eternal life.
More to come…..
On the journey,
Trish

Hmmm, “finding it hard to post . . .” yet still sharing these wonderful, cherished memories! So much on your heart, mind, body and spirit.
Trish, most of us in your place might find it difficult to take three steps, or to get dressed, or to cook a meal—WE are often energized by the Godly strength you have shown/are showing, just as Neal did, in all of these days and months. Now, each day a new days of “Firsts” without Neal. We are thankful for the close friends and family you have near; and, we are praying for you and them as they fill you up with God’s words, lots of huge hugs and times of joy. God’s blessings to each of the kids, spouses, and GRANDbabies.
Love, Aunt Gene and Uncle Keith
This blog has touched my heart! I work with Ruth Warren and her stories of your trials and sufferings have been a testimony to God’s love and your great courage to trust the Lord! I lost my sister to cancer last October 1, 2011. We only knew she had cancer for 2 weeks. She too is walking the streets of Glory today. She left 2 grown children and 6 grandchildren. I still miss her so much but I keep renewing my mind to the fact that she is still very much alive and well and waiting for the rest of us to come to her! It seems like your family has such a great testimony of faith! Many know of your faith (like me) that you don’t even know. God must be well pleased!!! I would like to recommend some DVD messages from Keith Moore (Pastor of Faith Life Church in Branson Missouri) that helped me so much! The series is called Victory Over Death. You can order them free from their website. I listen to them over and over. http://www.moorelife.org/flcareainfo.php
It really helps us with the correct mind set in knowing death is just the beginning!!!!!! God Bless all your family! Love in Christ from a Christian Sister.
