“Scott this is Trish Smith in Bridgman.  You may remember me from last May when a tree fell onto our roof?  Well, we have another one for you to take care of!”  He was here within an hour to assess the situation.  Last night at 6:30 I knew what the loud boom and shake was.  I ran outside to find a huge tree laying on our roof (last May we replaced the whole roof).  It came from the southside and landed over our bedroom and Collin’s.  It bent another tree over which was still creaking.  It did put a hole in the roof and broke 3 truses.  Mind you, it was not storming out, that came later in the evening.  “You better not sleep in your bedrooms tonight in case we have some wind.  That tree can fall further into the roof.”   Scott has been here all day working to get the tree down.  It has been quite a challenge.

Neal saw the doctor on Monday and got a good report.  His good numbers are going up and the bad ones are going down!  Dr. Kline was very pleased with Neal’s progress.  .He will see the doctor again May 14 to determine the next step.  We continue to pray for complete healing.

Tonight is Collin’s prom.  Thought you might enjoy seeing our handsome youngest child and his date.  I have been on the post prom committee this year so Neal and I are sponsors for the after prom which is at our high school.  The dance before hand is at a local country club.  We have a night of fun planned and great prizes.  We will see how we manage staying awake until 5AM!

On the journey,

Trish

Oh! My! Glad you were home and could get someone on it quickly! We just had some of ours trimmed this Spring and always wonder about one big one close to the house–the only down side to having shade and beauty!
Collin looks excelllllent–and his date is ‘cute as can be’ also. Hope you all had a fun night and that you can sleep in tomorrow.
Lots of love, Aunt Gene and Uncle Keith
